Middleton High School's Booster Club sponsored Tailgate Party on August 31 officially kicked off the 2007 football season at the home game against the Jerome Tigers. The parking lot of the high school was packed with spirit-filled patrons representing all fall sports: Football, Cross Country, Girls & Boys Soccer, Cheerleading, Marching Band, and Volleyball. Each group put on a show of spirit through decorations, costumes, cheers, programs, music, and barbeques. The Booster Club offered $100 to the club/group showing the most school spirit, and it was announced at half time that Girls Soccer claimed the prize! The Stockdale family, recent recipients of NBC's Extreme Home Makeover, were special guests of the evening. They joined the two football teams for the traditional coin toss and were presented with MHS t-shirts for the whole family, a signed football, and a Viking spirit blanket. Our MHS Vikings prevailed over the Jerome Tigers 37-18 to cap off a victorious Viking opener. The Booster Club would like to thank our sponsors for the evening: DUTCH BROS.
